Hello, I’m Carolina Masoli, Ecologist/Landscape Architect from Chile. I have been part of the design team of CNGF since 2013 and have participated in the design of several school native gardens that the foundation has awarded.
Currently I’m working on our latest two schools rewarded: Kellogg Elementary School in Santa Barbara and Holy Family School and Parish in Los Angeles. Both schools offer great opportunity for showing the advantages of changing the use of the land into outdoor teaching spaces for kids.
Our next deadline for the next round of School Native Garden Design Grant will be on March 31st, 2017, and we are hoping to reward a new school or organization committed to a successful educational program that includes Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), Core Curriculum and the Environmental Education Initiative (EEI).
We are also looking for volunteers and partners that want to be part of this wonderful journey of contribution for a better and more awareness world. Contact us if you think you have some skills that may be useful, if you want to learn about the School Native Gardens design process or if you simply have ideas to strengthen our team, please contact us. You won’t regret it.
